The DIA organization in US Innovative Medicines is the Novartis engine for achieving best in class Healthcare provider (HCP) experience and transformative digital patient engagement. The Enterprise Analytics and Data Science group within DIA is seeking a highly motivated analytic expert to optimize resource allocation across the commercial organization. This role will utilize marketing mix modeling, multi-touch attribution, and other advanced analytic techniques to identify the cause-and-effect relationships between our investments and market outcomes.

Develops and executes marketing research programs and analyses providing strategic insights which sup-port long term business goals with significant potential to impact business outcomes and patient impact. Responsibilities include gathering market, HCP and patient insights including: insight mining, positioning, man-aging patient models, market and competitive analysis, landscape assessments using both primary & secondary information, benchmarking, and opportunity evaluation. Will be responsible for marketing research supporting the specific TA, as well as ad hoc research as needed. Incumbent must proactively identify is-sues and opportunities, define and prioritize information needs, creatively apply market research techniques to answer questions, and effectively develop and communicate actionable recommendations to all levels of management.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Champion new approaches & techniques to obtain a deeper understanding of physician, patient and other stakeholder behaviors, needs and motivations.
Develop deep understanding of patients and HCP journeys and the opportunities and issues emerging form the journeys
Drive partnership with both US & Global teams to define key business questions and how we best address.
Oversee efficient & optimal use of marketing research budgets, & drive productivity.
Work effectively with offshore teams
Ensure team compliance with issues affecting marketing research execution such as AE reporting, state restrictions, etc.
Effectively communicate actionable insights and findings to all levels of the commercial organization. Provide clear recommendations for the team based upon these insights
Ensure compliance with Novartis policies including project management for process & systems to support and document compliance of the specialty exclusion process

“The ideal location for this role is our East Hanover site but remote work may be possible (there may be some restrictions based on legal entity). Please note that this role would not provide relocation as a result. If associate is remote, all home office expenses and any travel/lodging to specific East Hanover site for periodic live meetings will be at the employee’s expense. The expectation of working hours and travel (domestic and/or international) will be defined by the hiring manager. This position may require up to 20% travel. This is a US based position. No international relocation will be provided for this position. ”

Minimum requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

BS / BA required
5+ years of experience in the design and execution of primary and secondary research
Executive poise / presence—ability to present regularly to leadership
Intellectual curiosity—true interest and passion for using research & analytics to uncover in-sights
Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical marketplace; knowledge of breast cancer mar-ket a plus
Knowledge of marketing research databases
Ability to exhibit independent judgment
Excellent interpersonal skills
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Excellent communication skills. Strong ability to express insights and recommendations us-ing both written and verbal communications
Ability to work independently with a proactive approach to meeting the business needs. Must be able to work well both independently as well as part of a broad team
