Where you’ll work :
Our hybrid workplace model offers the freedom to work fully remote or occasionally in one of our offices. This is a remote position with a hybrid option for candidates based in Charlotte, NC or Morristown, NJ.
How you’ll contribute :
As an Actuarial Assistant you’ll be responsible for assisting in the modeling, experience studies, and analysis of current and future Annuity and Life products within the Experience Studies and In-Force Management team. This position will focus on Long Term Care and life products. Additionally, this role will gain exposure to and interact with other areas across the Company including Product Development, Valuation, Finance, Margin Analysis.
In this role, you’ll get to :
Support long term care product and assumption development
Perform cost of insurance model runs and analysis
Support the modeling and analysis of capital market scenarios used for pricing
Ensure proper documentation of processes, methodology, assumptions, and modeling updates
We’re looking for people who have :
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science or a related discipline
Completion of at least 1 actuarial exam for the Society of Actuaries.
Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work with others both within a team environment and across diverse business units and audiences.
Technical Skills: Excel, VBA, SQL, Alteryx, some coding experience, preferred

What you’ll receive :
Compensation – Candidates for this role can be hired at the Actuarial Assistant or Actuarial Associate level. Level and salary to be commensurate with exam progress.
Assistant Level (0-3 Exams): Base salary ranging from $65,000 to $75,000 plus competitive performance-based incentives determined by company and individual results.
Associate Level (4+ Exams): Base salary ranging from $75,000 to $85,000 plus competitive performance-based incentives determined by company and individual results
