United Methodist Communities at The Wesleyan in Red Bank, NJ is hiring an Administrative Assistant. This position performs administrative duties to support to the Housing Administrator as well as other departments. S/he is the first point of contact for residents, vendors and visitors.
Handles tenant applications and wait list and assures that all pertinent documents are attained. Assists with move-in/out process. Addresses resident issues, maintains resident files and manages the maintenance work orders and calendar. Collects and tracks rent and accounts payable and receivable. Interfaces with vendors, residents and families and is involved in inspections and preventative maintenance as necessary. Prepares reports, memos, newsletters, correspondence and flyers as needed. Uses software for tracking maintenance activities and resident accounts. Will be involved in tenant social functions and interacting with residents in their apartments when necessary. At times, may respond to emergencies with other staff. Must be compassionate toward older adults and have excellent customer service skills and attitude.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; excellent organizational skills, very good writing skills and a desire to work on a team.
Office experience including AR/AP or bookkeeping
Office experience with advanced MS Office skills and PM software; some supervisory experience preferred
A desire to continue education in Affordable Housing a plus
