Job Description
This position is responsible for analyzing and reporting health related trends, patterns, causes, and risk factors for the population of Summit County.
Required Qualifications
Graduate Degree required, with substantial course work with emphasis in Epidemiology (MS, MPH, MSN)
One years of experience in epidemiology, including extensive work with clinical health and communicable disease data.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products(Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
Strong working knowledge of geographic information systems products(ESRI ArcMap)
Strong working knowledge of at least one major statistics software product such as SAS, SPSS, Stata, or Minitab.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Valid driver’s license, liability insurance, automobile available.
Preferred Qualifications
Experienced in working with business intelligence or visual analytics software.

Primary Duties
Description of Job Duty
Initiates, designs and conducts epidemiologic assessment of public health data, with emphasis on community assessment, indicator trend data, and establishing a repository for on-going data surveillance and analysis.
Convert complex data into easily understandable reports and presentations to assist with programmatic planning efforts, policy decisions, resource allocations, evidence-based practices, and health interventions.
Coordinates with health departments, Social Services Advisory Board and other organizations within Summit County and with regional epidemiologic efforts.
Provides quality control for data management for ongoing data tracking.
Performs job duties under the regulations, policies and procedures set forth by Summit County Public Health and outside agencies such as the County Fiscal Officer, Ohio Department of Health, and state and federal government.
Performs any other duties as required for the efficient operation of Summit County Public Health.
