Job Description :
The Assistant Controller is critically important to our growth and success. The Assistant Controller assists the Controller with accounting and finance responsibilities. The role will manage the accounting records and general ledger for the company, manage and prepare the financial statements. In addition to core accounting and finance responsibilities, you will be involved in the finance operations and contribute to the company’s strategic business plans related to short and long-term objectives.

Responsibilities:

Assist Controller with accounting and finance responsibilities.
Assist with monthly close process for the entire organization
Review and prepare accurate, compliant and timely monthly financial reports
Maintain control and accuracy of all inter-company transactions.
Analyze monthly financial reporting (i.e. financial statements) and related KPIs and provide insights to Controller, CEO, and COO.
Assist and collaborate with the ELT and Leadership teams regarding the annual budget process by providing insights to department heads related to current year actual results for accurate upcoming annual budgets
Assist with internal and external financial and compliance audits; manage all audits including findings documentation and resolution; lead meetings to address outstanding audit issues
Manage all aspects of tax compliance including assistance to and coordination with outside 3rd party tax provider; ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local legislation and maintaining the Tax Calendar
Assist other department functions

Requirements:

3+ years of experience required
Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Experience.
Management of General Ledger, P&L, Journal entries
Accounting certifications or relevant experience.
Sound business acumen, judgment and problem-solving skills and the initiative and drive to get the job done. Able to work under pressure to achieve deadlines
Promotes a culture that encourages teamwork, cooperation.
Excellent professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a strong focus on excellent customer service required
Ability to work efficiently and maintain a calm and positive demeanor while working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment in a rapidly growing company
Working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience with QuickBooks and Aspire is a strong plus
