Job Description :
Bookkeeper & Administrative Assistant for King Orchards, a multi-faceted family farm business. King Orchards engages in agri-tourism and retail activities, along with a line of processed fruit products that are marketed around the world. We need a trained bookkeeper to accurately maintain day-to-day financial transactions, weekly payroll, tax payments and other administrative duties. We currently use Quickbooks Online for bookkeeping. This position can be full time or less than full time, depending on the situation. The job will be conducted during normal business hours, however we are open to some flexibility for the right situation. King Orchards is looking for engaged, enthusiastic and responsible people to add to our team.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Record day to day financial transactions
Monthly reconciliation
Perform month and year-end close process in a timely manner, communicating with accountant for semi-annual financial reporting preparations
Complete tax forms
Weekly payroll
Light human resources duties: new hire document control, track benefits and miscellaneous details
Answering phone calls; responding to questions or directing customers to the appropriate resource
Work Hours & Benefits:
25-40 hours, depending on both parties agreed upon arrangement
Works schedule is during primary peak business hours, however we are open to creating a schedule that allows for family needs. May require some weekend hours in the summer months.

Qualifications and Key Competencies:
Proven bookkeeping experience. Prefer 3 years of experiences, or qualifying education.
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
Proficiency in Quickbooks, Excel
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Proficient in verbal and written English language
Telephone etiquette
Ability to multi-task, while being attentive to tasks and remaining flexible to the needs of the business
Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour
