Position Title: Cash Applications Specialist
Location: Clifton, NJ – Hybrid Schedule (2 days a week)
Pay: $25-$28/hr.

A global pharmaceutical manufacturing stable organization is currently hiring for a Cash Applications Specialist to join their team at their Bridgewater, NJ office. This cash application specialist will be responsible for the accurate and timely performance of day-to-day application and postage of accounts receivable payments to customers accounts and apply non-AR cash receipts to the general ledger.
This is a HYBRID position with the expectation to be in office 2 days a week, candidates must be commutable to Bridgetwater, NJ!
Job Responsibilities:
Download and save daily cash activity from bank portals.
Apply and post AR payments to customer accounts; apply non-AR cash receipts to GL
Create batches for EFT, Wires, ACHs, and Checks.
Apply payments using remittance information.
Monitor & obtain remittances from several sources.
Identify and apply exceptions, including the creation and coding of deductions, paybacks,
on-account payments, etc.
Identify & resolve issues with bank feeds and/or system related errors.
Assist in month-end process and SOX audit support, as required.
Assist in acquisition activities related to cash application, as required.
Assist in system enhancement/conversion testing, as required.
Provide check images and backup to Credit Analysts upon request; respond to Credit Analyst requests for cash application in a timely manner.

Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience with (Cash Applications, accounts receivable or similar.)
Strong Excel Skills – must be comfortable with creating pivot tables and V-lookup.
Previous accounting experience within the Retail industry.
