Job Description :
The Adult Ambulatory Care Department of Saint Peter’s is seeking a Clinical Assistant to join their team!
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday – 8:00 am-4:30 pm or 8:30 am-5:00 pm
Clinical Assistant, in accordance with professional Nursing standards, skillfully administers total patient care based on individualized needs of assigned patients and families, including but not limited to age-specific care throughout the life span. Coordinates the clerical functions, which support the department. Responsible for data entry and organization within the nurse’s station to promote an orderly workflow.
You need:
High School Diploma or equivalent with medical terminology and data entry experience.
Successful completion of Nursing Assistant training or Certified Medical Assistant training.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
You will:
Complete required clinical duties when patient.
Set up and assist as necessary with procedures and coordinate any special testing or procedures.
Track patient results in accordance with the practice criteria.
Need to be knowledgeable of emergency procedures. Verbalize knowledge of location and use of emergency equipment and be able to demonstrate procedures to assure patient safety in emergent situations and disaster plan.
Ensure smooth flow of Department by maintaining orderliness.
Provide for patient safety.
Report all necessary information and/or unusual occurrences in accordance with documented policy and procedure.
Participate in Quality Assurance activities, including implementation of changes based on QA or nationally recognized recommendations.
Assist with the front desk duties as well as nurses with the overall care of the patients.
Pay Grade: 112
