We are hiring an
Associate, Quantitative Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics to join our Strategic Consulting Practice. As a skilled pharmacometrician, you will leverage and broaden Cytel’s reputation for thought leadership and innovative services by leading engagements for pharmaceutical, biotech and device clients, and building and maintaining successful long-term relationships with clients in collaboration with Cytel’s business developers and other personnel related to the account. This includes developing and demonstrating thought leadership in quantitative pharmacology methodology for clinical development, ensuring that Cytel remains at the leading edge, and raising Cytel brand awareness and recognition throughout the industry.

Specifically, we are looking for leaders with a strong foundation in quantitative pharmacology (non-linear mixed-effects modelling and simulation, model-informed drug development) plus broad expertise and/or unique knowledge in related areas (PBPK, systems pharmacology), to provide strategic advice to define optimal regulatory, clinical and/or market accesspathways and promote faster patient access to better health technologies.

Position may require20-30% travel (post-Covid).

Specific duties and responsibilities:

Provide consulting, analytical and research support for assigned projects. Assume accountability for specific assigned project tasks.
Work as directed within a project team to support project needs specified by the project lead. Lead development of specific project elements with minimum supervision.
Depending on project requirements, collect necessary data for projects, including literature searches/data mining, perform analytical activities, draft sections of reports or presentations for assigned projects.
Provide regular progress reports and ensures deadlines are met. Routinely participate in client meetings.
The position requires some travel and the ability to build and leverage strong interpersonal business relationships both internally and externally to Cytel.

Qualifications and Experience:

Understanding of the biopharmaceutical R&D process in combination with solid business acumen and an appreciation of the broader business issues.
Excellent organization and multi-tasking capabilities, strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to identify and understand relevant scientific literature and apply knowledge gained from these sources as needed.
Knowledge of relevant analytical packages is required (NONMEM, Phoenix NLME or similar software, WinNONLIN, R)
Comfortable presenting and interfacing with consultants and clients. Strong grammatical/technical-writing, oral communication and presentation skills, excellent use of the English language.
Curious, collaborative, entrepreneurial and self-motivated; the ability to work effectively in a demanding, challenging, rapidly changing environment.
Minimum of a Masters in Pharmacometrics or a related field with experience. Pharm.D with post-doctoral training in quantitative methods or a Ph.D. in pharmacometrics is highly desired. One to three years of experience in the consulting, clinical trials or health research environment is desired; however, new graduates will be considered for this position.
