Job Description
The Corporate Communications Writer researches, writes, and edits business communications, publications, social posts, web copy, press releases, news stories, case studies, scripts, functional communications plans, policies, and speeches. The Corporate Communications Writer will work closely with the Corporate Communications Director to support internal and external communications.
Position Responsibilities

Write, edit, format, and proof a wide variety of assigned communication materials to make the complex simple.
Collaborate with corporate and business function personnel to produce communications that are accurate, complete and on-target with overall strategy.
Contribute thoughtful ideas to brainstorms, projects and campaigns.
Oversee multiple content projects simultaneously and ensure deadlines are met in a fast-paced environment.
Understand and remain up-to-date on the company’s products, markets, policies, and objectives.
Proofread communications for grammar, spelling, punctuation, AP style, clarity and consistency.
Serve as point of contact with outside technology tools including but not limited to Critical Mention and AlertMedia.
Post updates to Zurn’s internet and intranet sites; coordinate resolution of technical issues with support team.
Collaborate with staff on development and execution of social media strategy including ownership of the content calendar and drafting content.
Maintain ongoing library of process and procedures document.
Serve as central point of contact in collecting internal data needed for surveys.
Participate in other Corporate Communications meetings and projects as appropriate.
Review and approve speaking requests.
Coordinate language translations as needed.
Assist with environmental, social and governance as assigned.
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Write exceptionally well
Degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, English or a related field
5-7 years relevant experience in a corporate or agency setting.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to produce written documents that are clear and concise.
Ability to multitask, prioritize work and work autonomously.
Knowledge of Associated Press style.
Superior organizational skills.
Great attention to detail and follow-through.
Deadline-driven and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
Independent thinker and decision-maker.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
