Job Description :
JP Morgan’s Control Management Group is responsible for setting standards and providing the tools and infrastructure that ensures Corporate and Investment Bank has a seamless front to back control environment deployed in mitigating the Business’ inherent operating risk. The Control Manager Associate responsibilities include performing various business analyses and reporting to support key control monitoring, thematic reviews, risk analysis, control deep dives and assessments. Output is used to assess various business performance and to identify opportunities to reduce the Business risk profile.
The Control Manager Associate works in close partnership with the Business and functional partners CCOR (Compliance Conduct Operational Risk), Legal, and Operations who are aligned to the Business.
Skills:
Problem solving/Analytical skills – solid critical thinking, attention to detail, able to synthesize large amounts of data and formulate appropriate conclusions
Proficient use of Visio, Excel, Power Point, analytical tools, data mining, and Tableau
Process analysis / design acumen – ability to understand a process and its associated risk to make recommendations on control design/business results
Communication/presentation – excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to influence business leaders in a meaningful and actionable manner.
Networking – exceptional interpersonal skills; exceptional collaboration and relationship skills
Work autonomously to affect change – flexible, adaptable to shifting priorities; manages competing priorities to achieve the most effective results in a fast paced, results driven environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
Minimum 2-5 years of financial services experience in controls, audit, compliance, risk management or operations preferred
Proven track record in partnering across functions to proactively identify and understand Business risk impacts.
Familiar with metrics reporting and their associated implications on Business decisions
Demonstrates confidences and sound judgement to influence a strong culture and risk management.
