Camerican imports food products such as frozen and canned fruits, vegetables, seafood, and select specialty items from over 40 countries around the world. Camerican is headquartered in Paramus, NJ, with sales offices across the US.
Camerican is seeking an analytical, project-focused and hands-on Planning Analyst who will be responsible for developing and executing inventory management plans to enable the company to meet sales and service objectives. The successful candidate will plan and manage inventory levels in partnership with packaging vendors, copackers, plants and warehouses to optimize customer service and ensure our company’s operations are timely, efficient, and cost-effective. This person will use analytical, marketing, and sales data to effectively estimate future product demands.
Duties include planning inventory flow, analyzing statistical data, and generating forecasting solutions. The ideal candidate should be able to derive insights from large amounts of data that support and guide optimal project performance.
Additionally, this role will be an integral part of new item product launches, supporting the project team through the project life cycle from contributing to the planning process, organizing documentation, serving as a point person and liaison, analyzing project performance to providing insights and recommendations for improvement. A true multi-tasker!

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Demand Planning

Create and maintain assortment plans at the SKU level based on sales.
Coordinate the demand planning process for new product introductions in the supply chain.
Assist with the company’s ability to meet customer demand, avoiding supply chain/inventory management disruptions.
Create and Manage spreadsheets tracking Inventory, Raw Materials, Packaging, Finished Goods Production Numbers, Product Allocation
Arrange for transportation of packaging/raw materials to processing plants for scheduled production dates.
Collect and analyze packaging and raw material inventory reports from vendors and co-packers.
Track weekly production numbers of each SKU.
Conduct monthly forecast maintenance.
Maintain project contracts and financials. Process invoices, assign purchase orders.
Plan, manage and execute inventory levels in partnership with packaging vendors, copackers, internal plants and 3PL warehouses to optimize Customer Service and overall inventory levels.
Collaboration: Work with suppliers, manufacturers, sales force, and other stakeholders in supply chain to collect info that can impact demand.
Create inventory analysis reports.
Develop inventory optimization strategies for upcoming seasons.
Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand pattern. Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.

Project Analyst

Outline project initiatives, timelines and expectations for new item & re-pack launches.
Establish a process workflow, delegating ownership of tasks. Create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective; ensure all parties stay on track with deliverables.
Establish effective project communication plans.
Lead meetings and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on various projects
Oversee ongoing projects; confirm team is meeting target requirements and deadlines
Lead internal and external weekly meetings; Prepare status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information. Identify and resolve issues. Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings. Distribute minutes to all project team members.
Ensure projects adhere to company framework
Collect and organize documentation to ensure successful implementation of project
Establishing key performance indicators.
Analyzing project data and producing insights to optimize performance
Provide administrative support as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Supply Chain, Business, Project Management
3-5 years’ experience in inventory management, allocation, demand planning, forecasting, project management or a related role
Proficient in MS Office; advanced Excel skills a must
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Highly Analytical, detail-oriented, goal driven
Ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative and dynamic team environment
Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities
Excellent communication skills
