As the Director of Employee Experience (EE) Central Services, you will lead several key functions to deliver effective strategies that support the corporate culture and further engage employees. This role oversees the HR Technology & Operations, Infrastructure & Planning, and People Data & Analytics teams. We are seeking a strategic leader who will have oversight of Premera’s EE technology solutions and operations, vendor management, and program and project management. In addition, this role is accountable for people analytics strategy, partnering with other EE leaders to create powerful data-driven reporting and analysis that helps inform decisions and ensures the effective design of Employee Experience plans and programs.
The Director of EE Central Services is responsible for the annual and multi-year business planning process, including the annual budgeting process for the Employee Experience division. The position requires strategic business, systems-thinking, and planning skills, with an ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external customers at all levels.
What you will do:
Consult and partner with peer leaders and the executive leadership for Employee Experience to identify business challenges; Apply systems thinking and data analytics to help influence strategy development, decision making, internal operations, processes, plans, and programs.
Develop a broad portfolio of advanced analytics to provide executive insight on the relationships between employee engagement, performance, rewards, and retention.
Create and maintain key employee experience data sets, metrics, and reports, including trends and root cause analysis, and ensure the quality and consistency of observations and conclusions.
Lead a team in the development and delivery of measurable short and long-term department and individual goals. Provide context and meaning to team members about the organization’s purpose and goals through interpretation, communication, and integrating it into their work.
Maintain EE project portfolio and develop annual project roadmap based on system strategy, priorities, and resource constraints in coordination with key implementation partners (Finance, IT, and third-party vendors).
Ensure effective performance and management of current systems, processes, and programs through analysis and assessment, metrics development, documentation, and resource cross-training.
Provide oversight of data security and change control management process of EE data systems.
Lead benefit plan analytics, forecasting trends, and recommend strategies that help control costs and improve engagement.
Hire, manage and lead a customer-focused team that includes people leaders and individual contributors to deliver excellent service and value to the organization. Incorporate workforce planning methodology to align the needs and priorities of the team with overall goals that support company and division strategies along with individual growth.
Lead the team of system experts, remaining abreast of industry and technology trends in support of evaluating current system capabilities and HR processes against future considerations and business objectives.
Manage division planning and perform independent analyses for a broad array of complex issues across disciplines and functional areas. Manage execution of division strategic plan deliverables, including the development of department-level goals, objectives, and roadmaps.

Responsible for managing the quarterly enterprise risk management treatment processes for Employee Experience.
Lead the integration of large enterprise projects and programs through the development of project team objectives, and implementations, managing risk and ensuring key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and outcomes. Provide status updates, lead ad-hoc strategic and planning discussions, and post-project assessments.
Lead the individuals who manage overall vendor spending in the division, ensuring contract specifications and periodic business reviews provide value-added accountability.
As part of this role, the Director may be assigned internal controls derived from Premera’s internal controls framework and will be accountable for understanding the controls assigned to this role, their impacts on Premera, and ensuring that they are operating effectively.
Special projects and other duties as assigned.
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field(s), or four years’ work experience.
Ten years’ experience in Human Resources, including five (5) years’ experience leading a strategic area of HR.
