Job Description
$1500 sign-on bonus! Paid in three equal payments at 4, 8 and 12 months of employment.
This position will track, and report drums received and drums sampled, oversee all sampling of inbound/outbound drums and trucks and monitor work performance of personnel. This includes monitoring safety regulations and the use of equipment, initiating work orders for repairs of equipment and maintaining production logs.
Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

Monitor and offload inbound drums and sampling of drums and bulk trucks
Monitor housekeeping, and permit requirements for the Waste Analysis Plan (WAP)
Maintain compliance with facility permits and plans and comply with DOT, RCRA, and OSHA regulations
Complete and submit QA/QC paperwork to lab and ensure that samples are submitted in a timely manner
Assign daily work orders and maintain production logs
Assist with inventory scans
Train and monitor work performance of personnel
Communicate off-specification materials to managers
Conduct toolbox talks and area inspections
Communicate with plant management to accomplish daily goals
Operate a forklift and pallet jack and offload drums, supersacks and cubic yard boxes
Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications
Basic Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED
2 or more years of prior experience working with hazardous waste materials
Ability to operate equipment, including a forklift and pallet jack
Ability to wear company provided personal protection equipment including eye protection, steel toed shoes, hard hat, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator

Preferred Qualifications:

Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or an Environmental Sciences field
Prior experience as a lab pack chemist
Two or more years of experience sampling and receiving hazardous waste
Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and RCRA Regulations
Proficiency with Windows based programs (i.e. Excel and Word)
