Job Description :
Scope and Purpose of Position
Responsible for management of a corporate HR department.
Tasks of the Position
Oversee all HR activities at a corporate office, holding the department accountable, reviewing, and disciplining as needed.
Manage the payroll, benefits, and FMLA functions to ensure implemented appropriately and lawfully
Conduct market surveys on subjects like compensation, benefits, etc.
Manage recruiting and hiring activities to ensure salaried positions are fully staffed.
Act as a business partner for managers including advising on policy.
Conduct investigations.
Analyze KPI data to identify and address performance within the HR department at the corporate level.
Make informed decisions daily pertaining to associate relations issues at the corporate office.
Communicate with plant HR to ensure standardization and work together on HR items.
Manage the facilitation of critical activities to improve associate engagement.
Communicate critical items to the EVP of HR, Administration, and Compliance.
Travel within US as requested by EVP of HR, Administration, and Compliance.
Any and all other duties as required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of payroll, benefits, FMLA, and employment law
Ability to use informed judgement to make critical decisions
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Ability to deal with problems involving complex and confidential situations and exercise professional judgment at all times
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills to compose and/or edit written materials.
Ability to establish constructive working relationships with customers and colleagues
Stays informed of current practice developments within the profession, and uses educational and training opportunities to ensure continual professional competence.
Possesses organizational, priority/time management, problem solving, and conflict resolution
Supervisory Responsibility
Manages HR department consisting of HR Supervisor, HR Specialist, and HR Intern.
Qualification (Education / Training)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college required; preferable in human resources or related field.
Master’s degree preferred.
3-6 years related experience and/or training.
Experience as an HR manager preferred.
Recruiting experience preferred.
Manufacturing HR experience required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
