Dewberry is seeking an
Environmental Client Manager to lead strategic planning, internal collaboration, and business development activities for clients including New York City agencies such as NYC Economic Development Corporation (EDC), NYC Department of Design and Construction (DDC), and NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).
The Client Manager will be a market-focused strategic thinker with technical subject matter expertise. The successful candidate will collaborate with Dewberry’s regional environmental practice leadership to develop and implement strategies for sustained growth.

Responsibilities:
Strategy Planning
Identify market drivers in the NYC environmental services market
Implement strategic actions to position Dewberry for upcoming opportunities
Monitor and adjust initiatives based on market dynamics
Develop a Business Development Plan for these agencies to establish overall sales and growth objectives on an annual basis
Assist in recruiting and hiring key subject matter experts, project managers, and local leaders to sustain the practice and meet client goals and objectives
Internal Collaboration
Build relationships across the New York metropolitan area, through regular client management meetings integrating Dewberry’s regional practices
Collaborate with regional and local leadership to identify long lead opportunities, pre-position for strategic pursuits, and develop capture plans
Work with the Northeast Environmental Group, BD leadership, and Communications department to raise Dewberry’s “brand” as a tier one consulting firm, including visibility across the environmental industry
Develop and implement an internal promotional plan for enhanced communication, visibility, and engagement
Business Development
Lead efforts to identify, track, position, and pursue strategic clients and projects
Collaborate with Dewberry’s business leadership to develop regional strategies for upcoming opportunities
Achieve a record of sustained growth in the NYC environmental market for Dewberry
Required Skills & Required Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in environmental planning/science/engineering. Master’s degree is preferred.
NY Professional Engineer (PE) license, NY Professional Geologist (PG) license, or American Institute of Certified Planners certification
Minimum of 20 years of experience in the environmental industry working in a consulting capacity for a national or strong regional consultant
Subject matter expertise and high client/market credibility in a key element(s) of the NYC environmental market
Strong client and teaming relationships in the consulting industry
Experience in developing and implementing strategic growth and marketing plans for a NYC practice
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
Proven record of successful client management and business development performance
Clean driving record and valid drivers license required
