Job Description :
We are currently seeking a full-time Environmental Geologist to support a variety of environmental projects in areas including, but not limited to, underground storage tank removal and corrective actions, remediation, and environmental assessments for real estate transactions. Assignments will consist of independent work and support for senior staff. Typical responsibilities will include: implementing environmental field sampling plans; groundwater, surface water, soil and air sampling; supervision of subsurface site characterizations including soil boring advancement and well installation; assistance with UST closures; environmental record searches; and interpretation of data and preparation of reports for clients and regulatory agencies. Some overnight travel may be required.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in geology or related field from an accredited school; 0 to 4 years of relevant experience (advanced degree and/or cooperative education may count toward experience); excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with a positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and within groups; the ability and tolerance to perform physical labor; a valid driver‘s license and an acceptable driving record; and strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and graphics software. 40-hour HAZWOPER Health and Safety Training preferred.
