Title: Project Financial Analyst
Supervisor: Director or Manager
Location: Remote/ At-Home (must reside in AZ, FL, IL, MT, PA, SC, NC, TN, TX, VA or AL)
Status: Full-Time/Non-Exempt
The Objective of the Position
Working for a fast-growing, dynamic team the Financial Analyst will be a key business collaborator in forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. To succeed in this Financial Analyst position, you will need to be comfortable with conducting financial modeling on various financial products, as well as measuring, analyzing and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans. The Financial Analyst will also advise management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and prepare reports for management
Financial Analyst Responsibilities
Oversee the monthly and quarterly financial close process by working with accounting
Function next to senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
Work closely with business partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plansCreate effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and recommendation supportAuthenticate routine Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecastingAssemble and overview forecasting reportsAdaptable applicant skilled in dealing with large amounts of information and meeting expectationsTrack monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resourcesPower monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions requiredUnderstand and explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trendingInspect performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities
Comply with financial policies and regulations
Accountant Requirements
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skillsSkilled at process engineering and optimizationAbility to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectivelyAbility to apply critical thinking and critical decision-making skills with managementEfficient office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommendedAbility to work cross functionally and influence appropriatelyProficiency with Microsoft PowerPointAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills including VLookups and pivot tablesComprehensive knowledge of budget forecastingBudgeting experience requiredFinancial planning experience
Experience with general ledger functions
Education/Experience Required
BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
Advanced credentials such as a Master of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $37,000.00 – $48,000.00 per year
