Job Description :
We currently have a full time opening in our high pressure cylinder fill plant that is responsible for processing high pressure cylinders through the plant, loading and unloading semi trailers, and other general labor responsibilities. This position is located at our cylinder fill plants located at 2580 28th Street, SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49509.
Purity Cylinder Gases is an independent, family-owned and operated industrial gas and welding supply distributor with 16 locations throughout Michigan and Northern Indiana. Purity has been in business since 1938 and services multiple industries throughout Michigan and Indiana.
This position includes a very competitive compensation package that includes a competitive hourly rate, participation in our quarterly bonus program, and an opportunity for overtime hours. Purity also offers a very competitive above market benefit package that includes health, dental, vision, and other insurances and a very generous 401(k) program with both a 4% company match and a year end 401(k) profit sharing contribution of an additional 8%.
Major Functions
Perform general plant operations
Move cylinders with carts and manually
Load and unload inter-office trailers
Cylinder filling production
Back up other areas within the plant
Qualifications Needed
Able to understand and carry out oral and written instruction
Able to read and verify things such as numbers and labels
Ability to move heavy objects (60 pounds) and move cylinders around the plant
Able to work as a team player with your supervisor and fellow employees
Must take pride in their quality of work
Good with basic math
Must have high school diploma or equivalent at minimum
