Job Description :
Concrete Technology Corporation is seeking a Human Resources Admin Assistant II to join our team. This position is responsible for providing support in the areas of employment, customer service, employee relations, faxing, scanning, and answering multi-line phone systems, focused on employee experience, employee administration, employee events, file maintenance, PTO and Time Records, and other projects.

Typically this job will be Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with occasional weekend work for special events. Hours may vary depending on department needs.

Minimum Requirements:

Associates degree in Business or Enrolled or successfully completed a course in HRM or similar business class.
Valid driver’s license and insurance required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software (SMART Sheet).
HRIS experience required (ex. Bamboo).
Must be a self-starter and possess quick learning abilities
Working knowledge and familiarity with Human Resources concepts, practices, procedures, and basic employment laws.

Roles & Responsibilities

Performs HRIS updates, maintenance, and support.
Provides primary HR front-desk operations.
Other duties as assigned.
Ability to preserve the confidentiality of information.

Point of contact for all supervisors, employees, and management.
Communicate safety-related information to all staff to ensure a safe work environment.
Gathers required data, completes, and posts all legally required OSHA 300 reports.
Ensures compliance with all legally required labor laws and safety-related postings throughout the Agency.
Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks simultaneously.
Tracks employee anniversary dates and provides cards for President’s signature.
Assists with the editing of Concrete Quarterly.
CHMP: Responsible for scheduling training and fittings of Custom Molded Hearing Protection, Maintains all records of testing. Assists HR Manager in trends related to hearing protection, procedure, and policy.
Schedules Annual hearing tests, and updates STS data into HRIS.
Maintains attendance records of administrative employees.
HRIS: With the assistance of the HR team, enters new employees into HRIS and updates information as needed.
Prepares and provides applications and/or other paperwork processes for prospective applicants or visitors.
Responsible for preparing personnel files for new employees and laid-off employees as well as archiving obsolete records.
Updates HRIS with Union PTO accrual transfer and balances with Payroll.
Attendance: Records unionized employee attendance and prepare corrective action memo when necessary, in a timely manner. Distributes and tracks disciplinary warnings for attendance.
Responsible for departmental filing.
Updates posted Manpower schedule and Kronos schedule each Thursday, and move employees to appropriate foremen in Kronos each Monday afternoon.
Provides HRIS support and training for employees.
Responsible for tracking and arranging required plant safety and equipment training.
Coordinates with Plant Manager and Foremen to ensure employees’ required training(s) are maintained.
Works with vendors to ensure that employee certifications are up to date.
Respiratory Protection: Responsible for scheduling training and fittings of Respiratory Protection and maintains all testing records.

Special Notes & Conditions:

Limited travel. Some work may require presence in the concrete manufacturing plant.
Performs most assignments independently with instructions as to the general results expected. Receives supervisory approval on projects and most daily work. Receives guidance and explanation on new, unusual, or complex projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

SHRM-CP certification
Familiar with HRIS systems such as BambooHR

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
