Shoulder Innovations is a cutting-edge medical device start-up that brings innovation to orthopedic procedures, specifically in shoulder replacements. Their leadership team has more than a century of cumulative experience engineering and launching a significant portion of the current shoulder replacement systems on the market today. Shoulder Innovations has developed a disruptive shoulder replacement system and has just received a large venture capital investment to fuel significant growth in the business.
We are currently looking for an Inventory Specialist to maintain our Inventory of products and provide high-level customer service fulfilling orders. As an Inventory Specialist with Shoulder Innovations, you will be responsible for maintaining, rotating, troubleshooting, receiving, and shipping our products daily!
As our Inventory Specialist, your responsibilities with include, but are not limited to the following:
Review upcoming schedule to determine products that need to be pulled and prepared for shipment
Maintain appropriate shelf inventory levels – checking levels on a weekly basis to insure appropriate inventory available for orders
Rotate stock appropriately to ensure product shipped based on earliest expiration dates
Receive returned instrument sets – inspecting contents and processing for return to inventory
Assemble products into instrument sets
Complete Monthly inventory count/cycle counts and report results to leadership
Ensure all items in the warehouse are appropriately received and stored
Work directly with management to bring them up to date regarding stock inflow and outflow
Compile inventory information for effective decision making, which may include the need for restock, etc.
Provide recommendations to management, and sales leaders
Initiate policy changes regarding inventory in the company
Investigate issues within the warehouse inventory system and execute necessary improvements towards better business performance, which centers on customer satisfaction
We believe to be successful as an Inventory Specialist, you will have the following:
High school diploma or GED is required
Associates degree in business is preferred
2+ years of experience in purchasing/inventory control/planning is preferred
Excellent written and communication skills
Detail oriented
Ability to work effectively in a diverse team
Must be organized and effectively prioritize multiple tasks
Must be able to work under pressure and accurately execute time-sensitive tasks
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications and MRP systems
Ability to frequently lift 10 – 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
