Get paid to assist in concerts setting up and taking down stages at concerts

IATSE Local 15 represents entertainment industry workers who facilitate and execute live events including theatre, concerts, and corporate and private events. Local 15 runs a hiring hall for members and non-members to take short-term work all over the Puget Sound region (from Bellingham to Olympia, Seattle, and Port Townsend to the Gorge Amphitheater). This position fills labor requests from employers with workers in the Hiring Hall. Stagehand:Responsible for ensuring the success of show and event productions by performing the technical aspects related to the show(s) production.
Essential Functions:
Able to follow directions in a face paced environment and take direction
Like to work hard, move quickly, and stay busy while able to lift pull up to 75lbs with proper equipment and safety
Performs the Load-in & out of band equipment and rental equipment
Cabling: assist audio & lighting crew as directed
Band Set changes
Ensure that members of the Band(s) have required items needed to perform the show(s) with direction
Able to communicate the details of the evening’s event to production crew/leads and co-workers
Responsible for hanging show banners, updating marquees and other signage in the venue
Assist lighting & Audio crew as directed by Stage Manager or PM; Spotlight operation if required
May assist the Stage Manager with show passes
Maintain and secure House Backline, and supplies
Maintain curtains, drapes, risers and other staging items
Assist audio crew with stands, microphones, cables, etc.
Operate and care for stage areas in a safe, clean manner
Assist with any Special Events operations
Ensure stage trash is taken out; stage swept or set up for next show when possible.
Job Minimum Requirements:
Ability to work Safely and follow directions
Social Security Number and Valid i9 employment documents
Bank account or banking app
Able to work outside for long periods depending on venue and split at times in and out to return to sight venue
Able to wear proper dress code of steel toe boots and will get a hard hat when able
High School Diploma or equivalent knowledge
Must be able to lift up to 75lbs with proper equipment safely
Work in an environment with moderate to loud noise level
Rigging, Carpenters, Welders, Av experience, Electrical experience in high demand. Classes and training available once you join Local 15 as a member.
