Job Description :
Virginia Pediatric Eye Center is a busy pediatric ophthalmology/optometry practice with a primary office in Virginia Beach and satellite location in Norfolk. We are looking for qualified applicants who enjoy working with children and have 2-3 years experience working as a Medical Receptionist / Front Office Assistant.
Knowledge of performing insurance eligibility, referrals, authorizations, and proper phone etiquette is required.
Applicants should have knowledge of medical terminology, experience registering patients, ability to establish rapport with children and their parents, good communication and computer skills, experience using EMR’s, and a strong work ethic. Experience scheduling in Allscripts PM is a plus. Benefits include paid vacation, 401K, and health/dental insurance.
Position is full-time 8 hours per day Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:30am-7:00pm and up to two Saturdays per month. Background check and drug screen required.
Salary is dependent upon experience.
