Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking Mid-level Project Planner Schedulers to join our Product Development Business Operations Integrated Scheduling team located in Everett, WA!
We are looking for dynamic candidates with positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong analytical skills. The Integrated Scheduling team requires the ability to build relationships, gain commitment from a variety of working groups, and analyze critical data. Current team projects include developing a robust, fully integrated precedence network to be used in the planning of future airplane programs and building an integrated schedule for our newest freighter derivative, the 777-8F. Our integrated schedulers work with Subject Matter Experts to horizontally and vertically integrate program gates, deliverables and key activities across all airplane and production system value streams in order to scenario plan and evaluate program opportunities and risks.
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite in support of business needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
Independently develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards.
Performs studies, analysis (trend, variance, impact), risk assessments to determine impacts, and constraints involving product development.
Creates schedule, reports, metrics, change activity, communicates and updates plan regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project.
Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
Performs integration of program plans and schedules, horizontally and vertically, across company functional, product groups, suppliers and partners of moderate complexity.
Identifies, analyzes and reports performance variances to management.
Works with customers to develop performance recovery plans and incorporates recovery plans where appropriate.
Collects statement of work from multi-functional value stream subject matter experts (Systems Engineering, Airplane, Production System, Program Management and Support and Services)
Manages airplane development schedule activities following the Enterprise Standard Gate Process, vertically and horizontally integrating cross-value stream activities within Open Plan Professional (OPP).
Conducts network validation workshops confirming cross-value stream network integrity.
Provides network visibility (including Master Phasing Plans, critical path and look-ahead reports from OPP) and analysis feedback to the team.
Partners with the team and Subject Matter Experts to analyze network Risks, Issues and Opportunities.
Collaborate with the team to maintain network baseline compliance by following change management best practices.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
3 or more years’ of experience in managing project schedules and managing programs and projects.
3 or more years’ of experience working with cross-functional or cross-organizational teams to develop and implement plans, schedules, or solutions.
3 or more years’ of experience in collecting data from multiple sources, performing analysis and presenting data.
3 or more years’ of experience in using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Experience using Integrated Scheduling tools such as Open Plan Professional.
Experience with Agile methodologies and navigation in ADO.
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master +4 years’ related work experience, 10 years’ related work experience, etc.).
Relocation:
This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
