About the role: Relationship Managers within Merchant Services are responsible for a select portfolio of large corporate clients who operate globally. Relationship Managers are required to collaborate closely with existing Relationship Managers and partner with the firm-wide coverage team to deliver our JPMorgan Payments proposition. They are accountable for maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within those assigned client relationships. The JP Morgan Merchant Services’ profitability goals are achieved through strategic client management, re-contracting of existing business and identification, pursuit and acquisition of incremental business within the designated portfolio . In this role, the Associate will work closely with the Relationship Management team to gain an understanding of our products, platforms and JPMC culture. This will allow them to grow professionally and be a key partner in helping to improve the client experience. In this role, this individual will have the opportunity to work across several different lines of business and teams giving them a greater perspective and understanding of the entire organization. As a Merchant Services Associate, you will:
Gather and analyze data such as merchant revenue, contract expirations and key client trends
Develop key relationships within the organization to help with your continued growth
Assist with PowerPoint presentations and the consolidation of various reports/requests
Attend training sessions and participate in peer/peer mentor programs
Assist in scheduling ongoing training to the field
Support client issue resolution to help gain a better understanding of the industry and organization
Communicate ongoing updates to key stakeholders on initiatives with your involvement
Minimum Qualifications:
U.S. Military Veteran with 4+ years of service
0-5 years of separation from military service
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and planning skills
Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
Proficient with MS Office Suite with a high emphasis in Excel, preferred
Strong analytical and research skills as it relates to problem solving and solutions delivery
Experienced in the process and skilled in the execution of “a team-based coverage” approach for a client
