Atlantic Health is Seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a Great Opportunity in Morristown NJ!
Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey’s largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Department of Surgery at Morristown Medical Center. The increasingly busy Department of Surgery provides the most progressive surgical methods using the latest technology. In addition, Morristown Medical Center is home to a state-of-the-art bioskills simulation laboratory that’s accredited as an Educational Institute by the American College of Surgeons for additional staff training.
Within the Department of Surgery, the Trauma Team consists of a dynamic group of 6 board-certified trauma surgeons and one Nurse Practitioner. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with all members of the Department of Surgery and Trauma Team and is expected to provide comprehensive care to patients using a holistic model in collaboration with all members of the health care team, patients, and their families. The primary role of the Nurse Practitioner in the Department of Surgery is to support the Trauma Team and surgical house staff in the care of acute and critically ill/injured surgical patients.
Qualifications:
Bachelors & Master’s degree required
NP License in NJ required
ACLS, PALS, and BLS required
Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) required within 3 months of hire
Surgical critical care experience is required
Emergency Department Trauma experience is preferred
Must have excellent communication and computer skills
Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
