Job Description :
Part-time Adjunct Instructor Positions ESL program:
All applicants must have a minimum of a BA degree. Preference is given to applicants with an MA or higher in ESL, English, Linguistics, Applied Linguistics or Foreign Languages. Applicants without a degree in ESL should have a minimum of the equivalent of three months of full-time ESL post-secondary classroom teaching experience, or a certificate in teaching ESL or foreign language that includes a practice teaching component with adult learners. All applicants should have experience working with adult international students; possess native or near native abilities in English with minimal errors in writing and speaking and have good communication skills and knowledge of computer operations including the ability to learn or use a Learning Management System for attendance and grades. Knowledge of a second language and overseas experience are preferable but not required.
Hourly compensation based on degree level. Qualified applicants will be notified of compensation rates prior to interviews. Instructors paid for assigned classes due to school cancellation days and national holidays during a term.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour
COVID-19 considerations:Anyone on site must wear a mask; students are socially distanced in class. Proof of vaccination may be required of students and employees for on-site classes.
