Product Manager
An established performer who contributes to projects with minimal supervision. Uses skill sets to execute component tasks gaining ownership for product areas with supervision and in coordination with other product managers. Able to apply an established product strategy to projects; execute on an existing roadmap. What you’ll do:

Agile practices
Good communication and listening skills
Familiar with data science principles and scientific methods
Understands existing key performance indicators related to own work and the importance of metrics in defining success (e.g., efficiency and effectiveness)
Identifies when metrics are out of normal range and propose actions to manage
Retroactively diagnoses issues that caused metric to be out of range
Connects metrics to business outcomes
Predicts how much new product features will drive metric improvement
Demonstrates knowledge of more complex decision frameworks and effectively shares these with others
Compiles data and information to support the development of more complex decision frameworks
Breaks down frameworks to understand key assumptions and identifies gaps and/or potential improvements
Incorporates customer insights from multiple channels/inputs to identify emerging patterns, trends, etc. and figure out which inputs are most critical
Articulates the needs of target segment(s) and anticipate their likely reaction to a given change
Uses customer insights to develop a set of viable solutions for customer problems and to inform product prioritization decisions with manager direction
Understands and leads a cross functional team (including but not limited to engineers, content strategists, UX) through the product development lifecycle for a single product area to achieve a business goal

Who you are:

Serves as a subject matter authority for the product features owned including the ability to demo, explain capabilities and understand technologies used
Designs and tests product features in collaboration with design and engineering team
Writes user stories, acceptance criteria, hypotheses and success metrics for new product features or enhancements
Drives cross-team collaborations with design, engineering, marketing, etc. to move projects forward and close on open questions
With minor assistance, manages backlog for product area and balances new features, bugs and tech debt
Demonstrates an understanding of functional technical information (e.g. user flows, technical system design and workflows)
Clearly and confidently articulates decision-making rationale, solutions, methodologies and frameworks to team members and both technical and non-technical partners
Anticipates and assists team members in the creation of routine technical communication materials (e.g. policies & procedures, guidelines, presentations, messages)
Proactively contributes to cross team collaboration ensuring the best available information is included in analysis and shares findings with peers and leaders
Considers the audience’s needs and context when crafting solutions or presenting ideas and is able to identify how the needs of different audiences may differ
Exhibits knowledge of the organization’s processes, objectives and challenges and their impact on the business
Brings a defined group of stakeholders together, identifies how potential solutions could solve a problem and assesses the implications of potential solutions
Outlines how, why and when customers and the business are impacted by policies/processes/user experiences/financial models/technology based on potential solutions
Maps which components are impacted by proposed solutions and assists with measuring the effect on desired outcomes
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field; or equivalent related professional experience
Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of professional experience
Master’s degree with 0-2 years of professional experience
