2nd Shift Production Operator

Samsung SDI America Inc., an International Manufacturing company producing AUTOMOTIVE BATTERY, is experiencing growth, and hiring! The Production Operator will be responsible for assembling lithium-ion batteries and battery packs. Reading and following instructions, assembling parts and wire harnesses, and fitting electronic components together.

We are looking for motivated individuals responsible for following instructions on assembly of small parts and wire harnesses and fitting electronic components together.
There is training offered and opportunity for success within a great company!
Overtime currently required
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assembly of lithium-ion battery packs, working on a high volume fast paced assembly line.
Become proficient at multiple jobs / stations.
Start of shift preventative maintenance activities & end of shift clean up.
Read and follow work instructions, drawings, diagrams, specifications.
Positions, aligns, and assembles parts in specified relationship to each other in jig or fixture.
Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment.
Inspect wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits to ensure conformance to specifications. Pack finished products for shipment
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Participate in material cycle counts, inventory, and scrap counts
REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to participate and create an excellent work environment, respect to coworkers is a must have
Must have good attendance and willing to work overtime as needed.
Flexible to work 4 shift work schedules
Ability to follow work instructions, reading, writing & comprehension skills
Ability to stand between 8 to 12 hours
Walk, carry light objects, handle parts, reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work well with individuals and teams to ensure the team meets or exceeds expectations
High School Diploma or GED required
Previous experience in manufacturing with a good work history is preferred
