Job Description :
The position is responsible for creating production schedules for department and also responsible for analyzing, determining usage, and releasing materials from suppliers to meet production schedules and to meet inventory goals.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree required
In-depth knowledge of computerized manufacturing systems (i.e. MRP)
Knowledge of department specific products and processes.
Inventory control expertise and forecasting background.
Excellent math skills necessary to fulfill requirements of position.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Computer skills necessary to fulfill requirements of position.
Self motivated, able to make independent decisions.
Additional Requirements
Role responsibilities include the following:
Ensure MRP accuracy
Abide by company policies and procedures at appropriate level.
Creates and distributes production schedules according to SOP’s, MPS, and/or special instruction from supervisor.
Plan raw material purchases/requirements.
Develop and maintain barcode labeling requirements per SOP’s and work instructions.
Coordinates expediting, schedule changes, and “rush” jobs as required.
Maintains raw material, WIP and Finished Goods inventories within turn objectives and dollar levels.
Facilitate New -Job Report, Drawing and Initiates EC.
Generate, print, kit, and maintains and close out work orders.
Maintains BOM, routing, and other system related data for specified departments within minimum of 98% accuracy.
Develops and maintains scheduling policies.
Coordinates physical inventory and cycle count program with a 95% accuracy rating in assigned areas.
Coordinates outside processing services in compliance with MRP.
Supports forecasting activity by participating in monthly forecast review meetings, and provide feedback to supervisor as required.
In addition to frequent verbal reports, submit weekly and monthly written reports to document and communicate the status of the department to supervisor and related personnel.
Initiate/Participate in self-development and training of others.
Perform other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business.
Exhibit/initiate safety awareness and safe work practices.
Understand all environmental policies and significant environmental impact of job activities in accordance with the ISO 14001 standard.
