YOUR LIFE AS A PRODUCTION TEAM LEAD
This full-time manufacturing position typically works the overnight D shift, which is Friday – Sunday and every other Thursday from 6:00 pm – 6:30 am.
As a Production Team Lead, you are an essential member of our overnight operations team. Working with the supervisor, you coordinate daily workload requirements and maintain accurate material count. Based on customer and shipping requirements, you coordinate the setup of the production area. You also coordinate all quality control guidelines and employee training to promote ISO compliance and ensure proper certification for each team member. Each night, you do your part to create a positive environment that promotes employee engagement. The supervisor counts on you to keep operations running and to communicate any situations that need to be addressed.
Safety is a top priority. You promote the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and coordinate with supervisors to ensure that safety policies are enforced. As you maintain a clean and organized area, you avoid unnecessary accidents.
In addition to leading others, you perform direct labor tasks. You work on assignments that include operating the plastic injection molding machines, handling light machinery, operating assembly equipment, and assembling products. In short, you keep busy, but you love the variety of your tasks and the rapport you build with our overnight staff. Because of your efficiency, our operations run well and our company thrives. Experience in a formal leadership role
Ability to perform at an above-average productivity level while maintaining the quality and safety standards established for the operation
Experience working with or around mechanized machines
