Job Description :
Imbed Biosciences Inc. is currently looking for a Purchasing Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing materials and services and managing vendors. The successful candidate will be able to perform strategic procurement activities as well as manage day to day production materials requirements.
Job Summary
The Purchasing Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Supply Chain and is primarily responsible for managing direct and indirect spend. The Purchasing Manager will be expected to support current activities as well as position the Supply Chain group to be stronger, faster, and quicker. The ability to communicate and anticipate issues is an additional function of this position as well as being pro-active and re-active as needed.
The successful candidate will work within a growing, high-energy, focused team environment and maintain a strong sense of shared responsibility and shared reward.
Roles and Responsibilities

Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies for Direct and Indirect Spend
Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation
Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
Assess, manage and mitigate risks
Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
Plan and purchase materials on time.

Minimum Qualification and Experience

Bachelor’s degree
5+ years experience with purchasing,
Strong ability to plan and manage component supply levels to ensure the timely and adequate flow of materials to manufacturing.
Strong math/finance proficiency. Team player with excellent communication skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated process improvement skills.
