Overview:
Morristown Medical Center, part of Atlantic Health System, is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse/Educator for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Every other weekend and limited on call is required.
Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served. Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.

Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.
Qualifications:
Education:
BSN Required
Masters Degree Preferred
License:
Valid New Jersey Nursing License Required
Certifications:
BLS Required
ACLS Required
CCRN Preferred
Relevant Experience:
At least 1-2 years of Acute Care, ED, Critical Care and Cardiac Telemetry experience as a Registered Nurse is required
Previous Cath Lab/Educator experience preferred
Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
Candidate will assist physician(s) with CATH/PCI, Peripheral, Impella, Structural Heart cases (CoreValve, SAPIEN, MitraClip, Watchman, Valvuloplasty, PFO, ASD) and ICD cases.
Must attend educational in-services and training as required.
Candidate must be able to educate all Cath Lab personnel in the performance of Invasive cardiology and Endovascular procedures.
Administers post recovery care of patients including, arterial and venous sheath removal; must be able to assess for and manage arterial access site complications.
Adheres to on-call policy requirements and responds appropriate to emergency calls per unit policy.
