Job Description :
SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Revenue Cycle Manager oversees the Patient Financial Services (PFS) Department. This position participates in the development and implementation of operating policies and procedures and audits current procedures to monitor and improve the efficiency of billing operations. The Revenue Cycle Manager oversees the hiring, supervision, and training of all PFS representatives and participates in the training of other departments relevant to the revenue cycle. The manager performs coding and medical records audits on all providers and provides necessary training and updates to providers, including new insurance regulations/requirements.WORK EXPERIENCE: Five to eight years’ management experience in a healthcare environment, preferably reflecting progressive responsibility in medical billing operations with similar complexity.EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND LICENSURE: Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare or related field preferred. AAPC (American Academy of Professional Coders) certification desirable. Any combination of education and experience including equivalent training and/or experience may be considered. A valid medical coding certification is required.ADDITIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: Bilingual preferred; Experience working for an FQHC preferred.HIRING RANGE: DOE
