Residential Director
Caregiver GA/Soto ALG is searching for a Residential Director in Savannah. The list below is not comprehensive of all duties.The Residential Director visits homes weekly to ensure cleanliness, furnished, in good condition. Check for posted/initialed schedules. No blocked doors/windows.Ensure Site Leaders maintain compliance with DBHDD and Soto Policies and Procedures (fire extinguishers and safety, water/fridge/freezer temperatures in range, chemicals storage, poison/ER numbers posted, visitor log current, posters/signs/inspections posted, house adequately stocked, etc.)Confirm site’s documentation is current: All required drills on TMP, temperature logs tracked and complete, Infection Control sheets complete, license posted, etc.Vehicle checklists are turned in weekly. Confirm vehicles dedicated to houses are clean & safe, have fire extinguisher with inspections, current 1st aid kit, glass breaker/cutter, mileage book, locked med boxPROGRAMMINGMonitor weekly for SC/ISC coaching or referral reports. Follow up and resolve ASAP. Complete Quarterly Goal Reviews for participant CRA goals in TMP and follow up with goal changes/addenda as needed.During visits, observe whether participants are engaged in home living skills and receive appropriate personal supports. Address if lacking.Review ISP checklist to ensure goals are correct for CRA services.Review monthly activity calendars and Community Inclusion entries. Ensure 20 hours a month minimum CI for each CRA participant.Assist with arranging coverage after Site Leader has exhausted all options.ADMINISTRATIVEEnsure each home has the following in its OneDrive folder: Emergency Preparedness Plan, Policies & Procedures, last HFR inspection, CLA license.Ensure quarterly review and signatures for Emergency Preparedness Plans.Fill-out CIRs for DBHDD and notify Agency Director when submissions are complete and need approval.Follow up with Support Coordinators for addenda and other issues as needed.Monitor your team’s Credentials/Licenses compliance on TMP/My HR Training/Credentials-Licenses. Follow up as needed. Keep items current. Monitor physical/PPD compliance for participants and follow up as needed.Approve leave requests and provide Site Leader coverage as needed. Ensure SLs arrange coverage when on vacation/sick for ER/ non-routine appts. Review any disciplinary procedures needed with team members.Confirm new team members receive Individual Specific Training.Scan expense reports/receipts to CONCUR at time of expenditure.Contact parents every six months to check on services and satisfaction.MEDICALMeet Site Leaders at med office to ensure reconciliation of meds with RN against MARs and scripts in TMP BEFORE taking to home.Meds at home are locked and secure. Controlled substance double locked. Controlled substances have double signatures and counts for all shifts. PRN meds separate from daily meds. Different meds stored separately. (Liquid, pill, etc.) PRN MARs have note on back for effectiveness of med one hour after given. OTC meds are present with current scripts on TMP. Notify RN if missing. Ensure no PRN or OTC meds are expired. Check med labels. Notify RN if expired. MARs have no missing signatures. Follow up as needed. Review to ensure all have current medical/MH/dental/lab appointments per ISP.All participant protocol tracking is current with no missing documentation. Ensure SLs activate BM protocol after 9 missed BMs & notify RN – review weekly. Follow up on MVR and summary on TMP for ER or non-routine appointments. Ensure SL takes scripts from ER/after hour appts to pharmacy.FOOD STORAGEEnsure menus are posted every Monday with dates. Specific diets noted on back of menu. Menu follows prescribed diet(s). Food present in home per posted menu. Check for fresh fruits and vegetables in the home. Check 3-day food supply monthly for availability and no expired items. Check refrigerator/freezer temps for daily tracking and adjustments per instructions. Checks for no expired items in fridge (milk, juice, lunch meat) and all leftovers dated.DOCUMENTATIONEnsure TMP calendar is clear weekly before Friday AM for Friday-Thursday billing. Missing Documentation grid is clear before Friday AM for Friday-Thursday billing. Review Community Inclusion hours for 20 hours minimum/month per participant. Assist in obtaining Behavior Support Plans, Safety Crisis Plans, and Enhanced staffing letters as needed on TMP.Ensure participant finances are tracked. Money matches balance. All receipts present. Bring money book to office monthly for reconciliation.Ensure HRST tracking complete and uploaded into OneDrive by 3rd of each month.COMMUNICATION and LEADERSHIPAttend weekly leadership meetings such as Division BPR meeting, Cultural Meetings, Admissions meetings etc. Follow up on issues and follow CRA referrals through Admissions process.Check email & TMP messages every day worked & respond as requested. Check on each team at least weekly: How are you? What are you working on? How can I help? Meet with Site Leaders weekly in person or via TMP Conference to provide updates, evaluate needs, ensure success with their site and responsibilities, and equip with needed tools and resources.Conduct monthly Site Meetings with teams (share news, train, meet individually with team members).Work with other Directors in preparing agenda, content, and food for Quarterly Site Leader meetings. Assist in leading meetings. Maintain rapport with parents, Support Coordinators, and vendors/partners. Maintain a positive attitude and uphold Core Values.MISCELLANEOUSEnsure new participants go to Social Sec/check Medicaid status day after move ins. Whatever aligns with Caregiver Core Values and Mission and is necessary to make your area successful Assist with planning of Annual Calendars (Agency/Family/Participant)
