The leader will work closely with the other internal stakeholders and teams to utilize Rheem’s Customer-centric focus to address customer needs and expectations. You will bring your expertise to educate and deliver best-in-class experiences to Rheem’s customers by utilizing industry expertise and skills to build a team and deliver a strategy that fosters customer loyalty and satisfied dependency.
SUMMARY:
The Director, Retail Business will strategically plan, develop, lead, and coordinate customer relationships, business development, and marketing related to the Retail and eCommerce channels. This role will lead the relationship and management functions within their assigned accounts to ensure that plans are developed and implemented to achieve Water Heating Division Sales and Marketing goals. The Director, Retail will represent the needs of large Retail Accounts within US Water Heating. This critical business role requires strategic leadership experience and will lead multiple Direct Reports and provide overall leadership to 25 Team Members.
This position will serve our Water Heater Division, located in Roswell, GA.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Serve as the primary point of contact for large national accounts
Establish overall goals and targets for the assigned accounts, ensuring they match company objectives and tie into the overall sales and marketing plan.
Develop an annual business plan analyzing all aspects of the division’s performance in the Retail Channel, outlining key initiatives and strategies to strengthen relationships and build long-term partnerships with existing customers.
Evaluate and support the marketing organization in developing strategies, training plans, pricing, sales support materials, and advertising programs.
Provide the retail channel sales leadership to cross-functional efforts such as Sales and Operations Planning, Product and Business Teams.
Ensure all retail managers are developing and implementing business plans with their key customers and/or field sales personnel.
Recommend customer-specific program changes to VP, General Manager, VP, Sales, and VP Finance.
Supervise and direct all activities and performance of Customer Development Managers, National, and Key Account Managers, eCommerce leads, and Territory Specialists as well as clerical and other direct reports.
Coordinate Marketing programs and efforts with other strategic functions in the division including Finance, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales.
Review and recommend sales forecasts and projected expense budgets designed to attain pre-defined sales and profit objectives.
Ensure that customer needs are properly represented and understood throughout the organization.
Oversee the development and implementation of strong sales plans specific to Key Accounts.
Gain acceptance of initiatives at appropriate levels with Accounts and Rheem, and make sure progress is made to agreed-upon goals.
Actively support the professional development of subordinates by providing necessary training programs and timely evaluations.
Work with Customer Development and Channel Managers to establish clear performance objectives and roles for Account Managers.
Manage and approve rebate structures to ensure that competitive and fair programs are maintained.
Evaluate market reactions to sales activities and programs to ensure timely adjustments to meet changing market and competitive positions.
Assist in the establishment of divisional budgets and monthly performance reporting with a primary focus on volume, pricing, and market share components.
Establish and assign sales quotas and oversee the management of the quota system.
Recommend changes in selling methods, basic structure, and organization of the Customer Development group to ensure the effective fulfillment of objectives.
Develop and closely manage expense budgets.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU NEED:
BS degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
10+ years of experience in developing and implementing sales plans.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office with the ability to learn new software.
7+ years of experience in supervising direct and indirect sales personnel.
7+ years of experience in developing and managing budgets.
10+ years of deep retail knowledge and/or wholesale customers, markets, and channels.
Must be capable of analyzing and interpreting plumbing related regulations/journals
Strong mathematical, analytical, and reasoning skills.
Experience in managing large, national, multi-branch accounts a plus
No travel restrictions-Must be willing to travel extensively
HOW TO STAND OUT:
MBA in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
Actively supervise the professional development of sales and marketing personnel by providing necessary training programs and evaluations.
