Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate is highly-experienced, results-oriented, hands-on and a change agent
Hands-on leadership of globally distributed development teams
Defining architecture patterns that support business and technical strategies
Define technical roadmaps and work with strategic partners to implement said roadmaps
Understanding business requirements in order to design business and technical services (capabilities)
Identifying non-functional requirements relating to business solutions
Documenting and communicating target state and assumptions to various stakeholders
Hire top talent, conduct people performance reviews and support the team’s development
Adhere to firm wide technology policies and standards including the adoption of an API-driven and micro-services led architecture for strategic solutions
Driving communication and collaboration on firm-wide strategic initiatives
Partner with Solutions Architects in the creation of high level designs for common technical and information services to guide implementation
Evolve and mature our release management processes; improve SDLC maturity and decrease release time to market
Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions Identifying non-functional requirements relating to business solutions
Build solutions using Domain Driven Design & micro-services/API
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Mastery of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Command of architecture, design, and business processes
10+ years of experience combining hands-on software engineering and leading application development teams
Experience with leading projects through all phases of a software development lifecycle.
Experience using micro-services and API design patterns (REST), SpringBoot and security frameworks
Experience in breaking down monolithic applications into domain-driven patterns
Experience with designing cloud solutions – AWS
Experienced in modern programming languages: Core Java and React/Angular
Experience with zero-downtime deployments and industry-best messaging technologies
Leadership by example, coaching and creating an environment for continuous improvement
Experience of Agile and Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery, leading high performance/velocity delivery teams
Change agent, experienced in developing partnerships across stakeholder groups
Ability to influence and foster strategic relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
Expertise in working in in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
