As a BOH Team Member, you will support the kitchen team, assemble food & drink orders quickly and accurately, and ensure each guest leaves with a smile. We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic people who enjoy serving customers. You must be available between the hours of 2:30 pm and 11:30 pm Monday through Saturday. There is premium pay for Team Members who can work in the daytime and evenings. We will teach you everything else you need to know!

Expectations of a Heart of House Team Member:

Be available between 8am and 11pm Monday through Saturday
Work your scheduled shifts and arrive on time every shift
Arrive for your shift in full uniform: shirt, pants, belt, non-slip shoes, name tag, pen (men must be cleanly shaved, women with long hair should have it pulled back into a pony tail/bun)

Although you may have a favorite position, be willing to learn, serve, and lead in the following positions: Breading, Machines, Prep, Fries or Boards.
Uphold high standards of food safety and cleanliness by maintaining your work station and following food safe guidelines.
Pull and rotate chicken between the freezer and thawing cabinet.
Ensure walk -in cooler/freezer is clean of clutter, checked for expiration dates, and stock is off the floor
Organize stock, wash dishes, and clean equipment
Ensure day dots are being utilized and chicken products are properly stored
Ensure kitchen area is well maintained, swept, mopped, clutter free and that ladders are secure

The rate of $16.50 per hour is for Full-time and Full availability Team Members in Hackensack. Restrictions on location, availability or hours result in a part-time rate of pay lower than the rate listed above.
REQUIREMENTS

Must be at least 18 years of age upon hire date
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Must have a source of reliable transportation
Ability to handle all equipment, pans, pots, navigating shelving both high and low, and lift 40 pounds
Reading, writing, and basic math and verbal communication skills required
Works in hot, noisy and fast paced environment
Mobility required during shifts
Must work well under pressure
Must be able to respond to changes or edits to orders quickly and efficiently

In our kitchens, we focus on fresh and simple ingredients. And we always have. Since the beginning, we’ve served chicken that is whole breast meat, with no added fillers or hormones, and we bread it by hand in our restaurants. Produce is delivered fresh to our kitchens several times a week. Salads are chopped and prepared fresh throughout the day. Whole lemons are freshly squeezed in our restaurants and combined with pure cane sugar and water (yep, that’s all) to make Chick-fil-A Lemonade®.
