Job Description :
This is a temporary job opportunity with potential to lead to long term work.
Job Summary:
Provides support for shipping and receiving roles in a team environment.
Perform duties initially in one of 3 areas:
Receiving
Shipping
Materials inventory management and kit building
Load and unload trucks
Receive, unpack and check incoming materials for correct quantities, defects, and damage. Perform system receipt transactions. Deliver received goods to the correct plant locations.
Maintain inventory integrity by ensuring that all inventory is correctly received, labelled, and stored
Prepare products for domestic and international shipment
Ensure that all parts issued from inventory are documented, tracked and accompanied by the appropriate work instructions.
Participate in physical inventory counts.
Communicate respectfully and professionally at all times while working in a team environment.
Accurately complete paperwork and meets deadlines.
Accurately retrieve and record data into Microsoft programs and ERP system.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications / Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Able to read, write, speak English
Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Ability to lift 25-40 lbs on regular basis
Basic math skills that include accurate addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Good communication skills.
Ability and willingness to work in shop environment of constant lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
Previous forklift experience preferred, but not required.
Shift information:
6am-4:30pm, Monday-Thursday -OR- Tuesday-Friday
– OR –
7am-4:30pm, Monday-Thursday and 8am-12pm on Friday
Work Environment:
May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles, smoke (Not over OSHA Permissible Exposure Levels).
Safety training and equipment are provided by MPP in accordance with applicable law, industry standards and company policy.
