You’ll focus on managing the design and implementation of technology infrastructure within PwC, developing and enhancing both client and internal facing applications within PwC, and providing technology tools that help create a competitive advantage for the Firm to drive strategic business growth. Our System Architecture team helps build customisable specific system solutions that enhance PwC’s system capabilities to appropriately serve all client needs. As part of the team, you’ll use enterprise architecture across application areas to build delivery models that map PwC capabilities to business needs outlined by clients.

The Enterprise Kubernetes and Cloud Solutions Architect Senior Manager will focus on architecting, documenting, implementing, and managing individual contributors for services of the Container Management and Security workstream. Containers as a Service (CaaS) and Clusters as a Service (CLaaS) are the core services, with additional services coming in the future. These enterprise services will be consumed by the entirety of the PwC Network of Firms.

Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)
Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader:
Possessing a thorough understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, container images, and container security; and of cloud-native concepts and the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) Landscape; with at least one cloud provider and its underlying container services (examples include Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS), AWS Fargate, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Service, Azure Container Instances, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and Google Cloud Run);
Working knowledge of at least one Kubernetes distribution; and working knowledge of service mesh technology (such as Istio, Linkerd, Kong Mesh/Kuma, AWS App Mesh);
Demonstrating familiarity with container image scanning tools;
Working knowledge of at least one container registry;
Possessing intimate understanding of the typical Kubernetes resources and how to create manifests defining them;
Demonstrating working knowledge of Container Network Interface (CNI) drivers; and Container Storage Interface (CSI) drivers;
Demonstrating an intimate understanding of cloud networking concepts, including best-practices networking models and security;
Understanding of microservice architecture and best practices;
Working knowledge of creating a Dockerfile to build an OCI-compliant Docker / container image;
Demonstrating the ability to automate processes using Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools;
Possessing a clear understanding of observability in Kubernetes tools; and knowledge of command line interface (CLI) tools;
Possessing expert working knowledge of YAML syntax;
Possessing intimate diagramming skills;
Demonstrating the ability to empathize with customers and respectfully engage stakeholders to align on goals, business objectives, timelines, and execution plan;
Experiencing working in a highly-regulated, highly-secure industry;
Overseeing architecture, design, document, and implement leading edge enterprise solutions using cloud-native technologies and security best practices to deliver business value for internal customers at PwC;
Collaborating with internal customers at PwC to gather business and technical requirements;
Collaborating with various NextGen Cloud workstreams to create comprehensive enterprise solutions;
Providing wisdom and direction to team members to accelerate the team’s throughput and improve the quality of deliverables;
Leading architecture and design workshops;
Creating security standards and working with relevant teams to enforce those standards;
Possessing the ability to create microservices in Python, Golang / Go, or Node.js; and,
Understanding of automated testing (unit, integration, synthetic) and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA).
