Job Description :
Position Summary:
A Pilot Car Driver is responsible for escorting the trucks to and from the pad sites and across the United States. A Pilot Car Driver is also responsible for ensuring the safety of the traveling public, prevention of damage to the highway system and load being transported, and the reduction of any undue delay to the normal flow of traffic.
Reporting To: SupervisorEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
Directs movement of traffic to, from and through site, using amber lights and CB callouts.
Informs drivers of detour routes through private roadways.
Radios other flagger or drivers at opposite end of site, giving clearance for reverse flow of traffic when appropriate.
Warns drivers and/or laborers when approaching vehicle fails to heed signals to prevent accident and injury to workers.
Performs traffic control and flagging activities as needed; follows safety rules and regulations on all work zone and flagging sites, including placing signs, barricades, traffic cones and other warning devices; communicates using CB radio as needed; duties may vary according to job assignment.
Reports safety hazards and traffic problems to superior immediately.
Maintain professional appearance and attitude.
Provide superior customer service.
Prepares reports and maintains records.
Participate in all training
Comply with all Company policies and procedures, including without limitation the Employee Handbook.Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Job Requirements:
Must be able to stay out of town 1 – 8 weeks at a time
Must possess a Valid Driver’s License – issued by the state in which you reside
Must be 25 years of age or older
Must have a have a safe driving record
High School Diploma or GED
Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required
Able and willing to follow verbal and written instructions
Must be able to stand for long periods of time while remaining alert
Strong communication skills; must have the ability to give clear directions and instructions
Strong sense of urgency; must have the ability to take a firm command
Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times
Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
Must be willing to get Certified for New York & Washington State ( WA Cert class is held online and NY requires in-person testing.)
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
Work is performed outdoors at construction sites, frac sites, maintenance facilities, and outside environments with exposure to inclement weather.
Moderate physical demands; strength sufficient to lift and move items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds; may be exposed to safety hazards and dangerous tools and equipment.

Pay: $14.00 – $16.00 per hour
